Later, one Air Warrior passed away from his wounds, according to the IAF. According to officials, a helicopter took the injured to the Army hospital in Udhampur.

“Militants attacked an IAF vehicle convoy in the Poonch district of J&K, close to Shahsitar. Currently, nearby military units are conducting search and cordon operations in the area. An IAF spokesperson stated, “The convoy has been secured, and further investigation is underway. The district headquarters is located far from the location where the militants opened fire at close range. According to official sources, the injured were taken out of the area by the Army’s Rashtriya Rifles. To find the militants, the Army has initiated a significant combing operation in the region.
