Crowned as the winners of the second Abu Dhabi Government Games Championship

30 March, Abu Dhabi (UAE), {ANI/WAM} The 2nd Abu Dhabi Government Games Championship champions were recognized during a unique award ceremony that took place at the Abu Dhabi Sports Hub.

Eleven sports were represented by the winners: football, archery, padel, fitness, and volleyball.

Over 2000 employees from over 40 government agencies in Abu Dhabi participated in the competitions, which were organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council from March 13–28 with assistance from the Government Support Department.

After winning the most competitions, Abu Dhabi Police took home the general sports excellence shield, while the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) earned the competition shield for the organization that fielded the most participants in different tournaments.

Every competition’s top three finishers received a crown.

The Abu Dhabi Government Games Championship, according to its organizers, was held in observance of the holy month of Ramadan and as a component of the job interaction and well-being program, which aims to improve employee morale, performance, interpersonal relationships, and professional and personal growth in the workplace.

The program also seeks to improve their mental and psychological well-being in a friendly, competitive environment that values collaboration and the spirit of challenge.
